Young One's Autumn - The Little Book of Practice

The Little Book of Practice is a collection of gentle bookwork designed to support children as they develop foundational skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic. While the primary aim of Learning Freely is to nurture wonder, curiosity, and child-directed learning, we also recognize that there are times when children benefit from opportunities to gently practice more conventionally emphasized school skills. The Little Book of Practice offers these opportunities without losing sight of the whole child. Inspired by Montessori and other holistic approaches to education, the activities connect reading, writing, and arithmetic to the stories, nature studies, and ideas explored throughout the Young Ones’ Autumn Curriculum. In this way, bookwork becomes more than isolated practice.
